NHS Retirement Fellowship

Established in 1976, the NHS Retirement Fellowship is a registered charity (Reg.No:287936) with no political or religious affiliations.
There are numerous branches throughout the UK (see www.nhsrf.org.uk ).
At the National AGM members submit motions for debate, and the Council routinely lobby Government departments and other bodies over these and other issues that concern members.

NHSRF Wales Liaison Committee

Members of our committee along with representatives from the other Welsh branches meet regularly with John Toman (NHSRF Development Officer for Wales) as part of the above committee. At these meetings they exchange ideas and information about running their branches and hear reports from the National Officers.

The Cardiff & District Branch

Formed in March 2006, is an active branch with aims not dissimilar to those outlined by the national organisation.

Our Aims:

  • To establish and maintain friendships between NHS retired staff
  • To hold regular meetings
  • To organise a programme of social and educational activities
  • To support members at a time of illness or identified need, by a personal visit or telephone call with a support team, led by our Welfare Officer.

 

Annual Programme includes:

  • Speakers – covering a wide range of subjects
  • Visits to Places of Interest
  • Quiz
  • Bring & Buy / Tombola
  • Special Interest Groups
  • Christmas Lunch

 

Annual Membership Fee April 2023 – March 2024          £35

At each meeting Tea or Coffee & biscuits and a raffle are included within the membership fee.
(Donations for the raffle are always gratefully received)
